About Us

In 2014, we started journey of Believe foundation at IIM Ahmedabad with thought of being happy while helping others. IIM Ahmedabad has produced plenty entrepreneurs, CEOs, CFOs and high intellectual personalities and us. Well, our journey started outside IIM and not inside.
So, as usual few of us friends were sitting at tea stall on IIM road. It was cruel winter evening where an eleven-twelve year old child came to us and asked for money. When we asked for the reason behind asking money, he told us he was hungry. Instead of giving money, we bought a sandwich and told him to sit with us. In that cruel winter, because of his financial condition he had not enough clothes to cover his body. So, we told him to come to the same place next day, where we donated him few of our old clothes. Next day he got clothes and we got the idea to help more people under the concept of ‘blessings’. To extend our helping hand, we gathered clothes in winter in each and every possible way and distributed to needy people.

We organized mango festival, in which collected mangoes and distributed in slum area. Organized visit to old age home, deaf and dumb school, mother Teresa orphanage home and tried to plan each and every activity through which we gathered help and sent to needy people. But the real turning point came, when in one of the blood donation camps, we met Meera Nayak. Meera, a girl with charming smile, positive attitude and unfortunately a patient of thalassemia. We didn’t know anything about thalassemia till we met Meera. When she came to thank us, she explained this disease of dead end. Each of us was shocked after hearing to that and no organization is dedicatedly working for this cause shocked us more. The data stats that 7 out of 10 people are unaware about thalassemia.And then we announced Believe Foundation, a non profit organization dedicatedly working on awareness of Thalassemia in India.
